Lowville Sees Below Average Mean Temperature for December with Below Normal Overall Precipitation but Above Average Snowfall

Lowville, NY- Overall, Lowville saw an average mean temperature below average with slightly below normal overall precipitation levels last month, according to weather data compiled from the Northeast Regional Climate Center (dating back to 1893).

 

December finished with a mean average temperature (cumulative highs and lows) of 20.4 degrees in Lowville, well below the normal mean average temperature for December in Lowville of 24.7 degrees. In terms of ranking, it was the 30th coldest December on record. The warmest December on record for Lowville occurred in 2015, when the mean average temperature for the month was 36.9 degrees.
