LPD: Fort Drum Man Arrested on Weapon Charges
Following Investigation into Alleged Domestic Dispute

On Sunday December 28, 2025, the Lowville
Police investigated a domestic dispute on Shady Ave in the village that
resulted in the arrest of a Fort Drum man. 24-year-old Waylon P. Collins
was charged with (1) count of Criminal Possession of an Assault Weapon in
the 3rd degree, (1) count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd degree (Large
capacity ammo feeding device), and (1) count of Failing to Safely Store a
Firearm in the 1st degree (vehicle). Collins was processed and released to
custody of Fort Drum officials and will appear in Lewis County Court at a later date.
