LPD: Castorland Man Arrested on Criminal Contempt

The Lowville Police arrested a
57-year-old Castorland man on December 29, 2025, after an investigation
into an order of protection violation.
Fred E. Gardner was charged with (1) count of
Criminal Contempt in
the 2nd degree after he violated an order
issued by Lewis County Court Judge Daniel King. He was arraigned
in the Town of Lowville court and
released on his own recognizance.
