"We are Dakota and Blush, two gentle souls who find comfort in each other's presence. The shelter has given us medical care, safety, consistency, food and warmth. We are sweet but scared and what we need is a place to simply exist, a kind human, time to relax and learn to trust so that we can slowly and gently choose you. We are a story of quiet survival as we sit, sleep and watch the world together." Blush, 18-month-old black and white female, came from a hoarding situation after the owner passed away and has been at the shelter for 333 days. Dakota, young female tabby, was living in a drainage ditch on Fort Drum scared and never knowing kindness and has been at the shelter 365 days. Both are beautiful, healthy kitties who just need a chance at a good life.

The cost is only $10 per person, with lunch included. There will be cash prizes and a 50/50 raffle. All proceeds benefit the scholarship fund for local H.S. Seniors. The Croghan American Legion is located at 9833 Main Street in Croghan, NY.  Call them at 315-346-6414.  January 14^th: January 15^th: Stone Soup Drive-thru Dinner at Croghan Mennonite Church on the Kirschnerville Rd. Thursday,  January 15th starting at 4 pm.  We will be serving Chicken -n- Biscuits, Veggies and dessert. All are welcome!
