John was a devoted husband, father, “Papa,” and brother. He was born on September 9, 1948, in Lowville, NY, to Edward and Mary (O’Connor) Jaconski. He graduated from South Lewis High School in 1966 and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from the Rochester Institute of Technology in 1970. While at RIT, John was a proud member of the Delta Sigma Pi fraternity, where he formed lifelong friendships that remained close throughout his life.

John spent his entire career in the food industry, a field he enjoyed and to which he dedicated many years of hard work. In retirement, John and his family found great happiness at their lake house on Chase’s Lake, where he loved spending time with family and friends. He also enjoyed many hours at Pompey Golf Club, where he was a member for several years. John’s faith was an important part of his life from an early age, and he was a devoted communicant of Immaculate Conception Church in Fayetteville.

John is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Margaret (Tiffany) Jaconski; his son, Chad (Cindy) Jaconski of Manlius; and his daughter, Ann Jaconski of Fayetteville. He was a proud and loving grandfather to his two grandsons, Chase and Colton Jaconski, whom he adored. He is also survived by his brother, Thomas (Gail) Jaconski of Watertown, as well as many cherished in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was predeceased by his parents, Edward and Mary Jaconski; his parents-in-law, Donald and Sarah Tiffany; and his brother- and sister-in-law.

The family deeply appreciates the compassionate care and support provided to John and his family by the staff at Nottingham Residential Health Care Facility and the nurses at Hospice of Central New York. A special thank you is also extended to Dr. Andrea Berg and Dr. Beth Wiedeman for their many years of dedicated care and support.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday December 27, 2025 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Fayetteville with Rev. Clifford H. Auth, Pastor, officiating.
