There will be a
snowmobile safety course sponsored by the Turin Ridge Riders Snowmobile club,
“Highest Club on Tug Hill”, on Saturday, November 29 at the Turin Library –
Village Hall, 6312 East Main St., Turin, NY 13473.
The course hours
are from 8:30am to 4:30pm with lunch being provided
by the club.

registration MUST be done on the New York Snowmobile Register-Ed

Children from age
10 - 13 must take this course to be allowed to operate a snowmobile on lands upon which snowmobiling is allowed while
accompanied by (within 500 feet of) a person who is at least 18 years of
age.
Children from age
14 - 17 must take this course to be allowed to operate a snowmobile on
lands upon which snowmobiling is allowed without being accompanied by a
person who is at least 18 years of age.
A student must
have reached his or her 10th birthday on or before the day the
course ends in order to be eligible to receive a
snowmobile safety certificate. Parents-legal guardians MUST stay the first 15 minutes so all paper
work can be filled out. Students need a pen and a highlighter. Student that will need help reading, comprehending a 50
question fill in the blanks, true-false, multiple choice let the instructor
know prior to the class.
