Lowville Sees Above Average Mean Temperature for October with Below Average Precipitation

Lowville, NY- Overall, Lowville saw average temperatures above normal during October, with below normal precipitation levels, according to weather data compiled from the Northeast Regional Climate Center (dating back to 1893).

 

October finished with a mean average temperature (cumulative highs and lows) of 49.4 degrees in Lowville, a full 2.3 degrees above the normal mean average temperature for October in Lowville of 47.1 degrees. In terms of ranking, it was tied for the 34th warmest October on record. The warmest October on record for Lowville occurred in 1947 with a mean average temperature of 56.1 degrees, with the coldest October on record occurring in 1925 with a mean average temperature of 39.6 degrees for the month. The highest temperature of the month last month reached 86 degrees on October 6th. The lowest temperature recorded last month was 24 degrees on both October 27th and October 28th.
