Lowville Red Raiders Win Section III Class D Football
Championship Advancing to State Playoffs

The Lowville Red
Raiders football team has advanced to States after capturing the Section
III Class D title last evening with a 38-20 victory over four-time
defending section champs Dolgeville at the JMA Wireless Dome at Syracuse
University.
This was Lowville’s
first season in Class D, after moving down from Class C in the offseason.
The top-seeded Red Raiders improved to 11-0 on the
season with last evening’s win, previously beating Dolgeville in their week
3 regular season matchup as well. Dolgeville finishes the season at 9-2,
with both losses coming against Lowville.
Running back Cole
Zubrzycki ran for four touchdowns in last evening’s win, with Ethan Myers
adding a touchdown run and Devin Swiernik
returning a punt for 60 yards for a touchdown.
Next up, Lowville
will take on the winner of the Section IV champion (to be determined) at a
State Regional playoff game on Friday, November 21 at 5 p.m. at Vestal High
School.
