Lowville, NY- The Lewis County
Historical Society will kick off their Storytime Holiday Festival on
Friday, November 28th, running from 10 AM to 4 PM daily through Sunday, December
7th. The annual tradition will feature a slightly different format this
year than the Home for the Holidays Festival of previous years.
“We decided to
keep the annual Holiday Festival, but we will now feature a different theme
each year, with this year’s theme being Storytime,” Historical Society
Manager Inga Davey said. “We plan to have a storybook time each day during
this year’s event.”
One key change this year will be the days the festival is open
to the public. Previously, the Home for the Holidays Festival would run
over a series of three to four weekends from mid-November through early
December. This year the festival will be open from 10 AM to 4 PM daily,
from November 28 through December 7. Events and activities (the full schedule
is included at the end of this article) are
scheduled for each day during that time.
Vistors will once
again be able to bid on and vote for their favorite decorated Christmas
trees, donated by local organizations, with the return of the annual
Christmas Tree Auction. The Gingerbread House displays return as well, with
guests encouraged to vote for their favorites. The popular train display
will also be running throughout the festival, in addition to historical
displays and a huge basket raffle.

Society’s Facebook Page and their website. The full
