Lewis County Emerging Professionals to Host Annual Christmas Party & Fundraiser

A spirited night of trivia, holiday cheer, and fundraising to support Santa for Seniors

LOWVILLE, NY — Lewis County Emerging Professionals (EP) will host its annual Christmas Party & Trivia Night on Wednesday, December 3, from 5:30–8:00 PM at Jeb’s Restaurant in Lowville. The event is open to the public and will raise funds to support Santa for Seniors, a holiday program coordinated by the Lewis County Office for the Aging that delivers gifts and necessities to local older adults.

The evening will feature appetizers, festive holiday attire, and a three-round trivia competition beginning at 6:00 PM. Trivia registration is $10 per person, with teams of up to five. The winning team will receive half of the registration proceeds, with the remaining half donated directly to Santa for Seniors. Additional onsite donations are welcomed.

This year’s event helps kick off the organization’s preparations for a major milestone: EP will celebrate 10 years in 2026.

Founded in 2016 as a capstone project of the Lewis County Leadership Academy, Emerging Professionals began when participants recognized a need for a group that helped young adults connect socially and professionally.

Co-founder and current Board President McKenzie Lehman offers these reflections on the group’s origins:

“EP started after one of our classmates mentioned that where he came from, young professionals’ groups helped people build community. We knew Lewis County needed something like that — a way for like-minded people to connect, whether they were lifelong residents or newcomers to the community.

I’m proud of all the connections I’ve made and the success stories of people who were able to integrate into the community more easily because of EP. That’s exactly what we hoped this group would do.”

Over the past decade, EP has hosted monthly happy hours, its Get on Board initiative, networking opportunities, volunteer events, and social gatherings that have brought together adults across ages and industries.

The Dec. 3 Christmas Party & Trivia Night is open to anyone interested in attending, regardless of membership. EP members will receive a token for a complimentary drink.
