JCC to Hold SUNY Reconnect Information Session on November 17 for Adults Interested in Earning a Free Associate Degree

 

 

Watertown, NY - Adults ages 25–55 who have not yet completed a college degree may be eligible to attend Jefferson Community College (JCC) at no cost through New York State’s SUNY Reconnect program.

 

Jefferson will hold an information session on Monday, November 17, 2025, at 4:30 p.m. in the Commons, Jules Center (Building 6), for in-person attendees and at 5:20 p.m. for those attending virtually.

 

SUNY Reconnect is designed to support adult learners returning to college to pursue degrees in high-demand fields. The program offers financial assistance to help cover the cost of tuition, fees, and books.

 

During JCC’s information session, attendees will learn about eligibility requirements, including completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), explore career pathways in technology, education, engineering, and nursing, and connect with representatives from student support and accommodative services. There will also be time to apply for admission (free), complete the FAFSA with assistance, and take a campus tour.

  • Childhood Education
  • Childhood Education Birth–Grade 2
  • Childhood Education Birth–Grade 6
  • Nursing
  • Computer Information Technology
  • Computer Information Systems
  • Computer Science
  • Engineering Science
