There will be a
snowmobile safety course sponsored by the Long Pond Sno-Sled Club of
Harrisville & Croghan, NY on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at the
Croghan Fire Hall, 6855 Fire Hall St., Croghan, NY. The course will be held
from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Children from age
10 - 13 must take this course to be allowed to operate a snowmobile on lands upon which snowmobiling is allowed while
accompanied by (within 500 feet of) a person who is at least 18 years of
age.
Children from age
14 - 17 must take this course to be allowed to operate a snowmobile on
lands upon which snowmobiling is allowed without being accompanied by a
person who is at least 18 years of age.
Students must
have reached his or her 10th birthday on or before the day the course ends in order to be eligible to receive a snowmobile safety
certificate. Parents or legal guardians MUST stay the first
15 minutes so all other paper work can be filled out. Students will need a pen and a yellow highlighter, lunch will be provided by the club.
