AI-generated content may be incorrect.Harrisville and Hammond NY- Karen Sue Baillargeon, 73, beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend was taken home to the Lord suddenly on Saturday, October 25, 2025.

Karen was born in Carthage, New York, to the late Raymond and Madeline (Conklin) Trombley, where she lived for many years until she moved to Harrisville NY in 1976, and to Redwood NY in 2018.  In 1970 she married Ronald C. Baillargeon on October 16th, having three children, Dewayne, Parrish and Brandy Baillargeon.  She returned, graduating high school in 1979 at Harrisville Central School where she received her diploma and certification as a cosmetologist, starting her own beauty shop which she conducted business from her home for more than 20 years.  Later in life she changed careers, becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant, working for Carthage Hospital/Nursing Home and an apartment manager for Lowville Heights.  Most recently she would work weekends with her husband cleaning cabins on Oak Point, on the St. Lawrence River.  She took great pride in all the work she would do and was always taking care of others.

To Karen, family was everything.  She would give all of herself to be the best wife, mother and grandmother she could be.  She spent much time caring for her son Parrish and grandson Michael, before their passing this summer.  She truly was an angel in many ways here on earth, so it was not a surprise that she was needed in heaven.  While she devoted her life to caring for her loved ones, she never fell short of showing kindness and compassion to everyone around her.  Karen was also a cancer survivor in remission and served as an inspiration and comfort to others fighting similar battles.  Whether a friend or stranger, she was always willing to help and give whatever she could.  To those that knew her she was a source of comfort, laughter and unconditional love. Her presence will be forever missed, but her spirit will live on in the countless lives she touched and never be forgotten.

She enjoyed many different things, but spending time with family and friends was her passion.  When she wasn’t spending time with them, she was crocheting, sewing and taking road trips or fishing on the riverbanks with her husband and children.  She also loved to go to the beach or just sit in the sun.

Karen is survived by her husband Ronald Baillargeon, son Dewayne Baillargeon (Kerri) and daughter Brandy Baillargeon-Grant (Thomas Grant), several grandchildren, sisters, brothers, cousins, nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Parrish Baillargeon, and her grandson, Michael Webster.

Karen’s funeral services will be held on Friday, November 7th, 2025, beginning with calling hours from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Scanlon Funeral Home, 14187 State St., Harrisville, followed by a 1:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial from St. Francis Solanus Church in Harrisville. Interment will immediately follow the funeral Mass in St. Francis Cemetery, Harrisville.
