Lowville’s Precipitation Levels for September Were Below Normal with an Above Average Mean Temperature

Lowville, NY- Overall, Lowville saw temperatures above normal during September, with below normal precipitation levels, according to weather data compiled from the Northeast Regional Climate Center (dating back to 1893).

 

September finished with a mean average temperature (cumulative highs and lows) of 60.4 degrees in Lowville, a full 1.8 degrees above the normal mean average temperature for September in Lowville of 58.6 degrees. In terms of ranking, it was the 37th warmest September on record. The warmest September on record for Lowville occurred in 1961 with a mean average temperature of 67.1 degrees, with the coldest September on record occurring in 1918 with a mean average temperature of 51.9 degrees for the month. The highest temperature of the month last month reached 84 degrees on September 1st. The lowest temperature recorded last month was 34 degrees on both September 20th and 21st.
