AI-generated content may be incorrect.Wade B. Patterson, 58, Lowville, NY, joined his mom and dad in Heaven on Saturday, September 6, 2025 after a brief hospitalization at Upstate University in Syracuse, NY.

Wade was born on June 27, 1967 in Lowville, NY, a beloved son to Kent and Carole Patterson, Glenfield, NY. He was raised on the family homestead on McConnell Rd. Glenfield and schooled locally. After graduating from South Lewis CSD in 1987, Wade went to work for Sundt-Parsons Actus as a laborer, fulfilling government contracts while prepping floors for concrete pours. He went to work for Barrett Paving Materials out of Syracuse, NY in 1991 and was employed as a full time laborer and traffic control specialist until becoming disabled in 2015.

Life was anything but easy for Wade. Living with diabetes most of his adult life, he was faced with many adverse health challenges that he bravely overcame with a grin. However, those challenges didn’t stop him from enjoying and living his life to the fullest. A diehard Dallas Cowboy fan, he faithfully watched the games with anyone who wanted to join. To know Wade, was to love him. He was a larger than life guy who would give you the shirt off his back. While often found camping on Little Otter Lake or Catspaw Lake, Wade would always have a fishing pole in hand. He loved all things outdoors; hunting, fishing, playing horse shoes, sitting around a campfire listening to his favorite rock band, The Cars, while enjoying a Busch Lite beer. He enjoyed children and left many lasting memories for each of his nieces, nephews and his God-Daughter; Mackenzie. When he wasn’t enjoying outdoor activities, Wade could often be found playing a game of cards with his parents and siblings.

He married Anne Jones in April 2001, becoming a proud step-father to her two children, Casey and Josh. The marriage ended in divorce.

Wade is survived by his siblings; John (Kerry), Tennessee; Kent, (AKA; Bug) Greig, NY, Jack (Ginny), Glenfield, NY; Jill (Karl) Lyons Falls, NY; Rob (Kelly) Greig, NY; Linda (Chris) Florida; Faith, Maryland; and his best friend Cliff Colwell (Michelle) Port Leyden, NY. He is predeceased by his parents, sister-in-law, Trish Patterson; and nephew, Doug Patterson.

Calling hours will be at the Sundquist Funeral Home on Sunday, September 14, 2025 from noon until 2:00 p.m. followed by a burial at Brantingham Cemetery. The family would like to invite anyone who knew and loved Wade, to join us at the family home on McConnell Road, Glenfield, immediately after the funeral. Bring a dish to pass and your favorite beverage to help us remember and celebrate a man we so dearly loved.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Lewis County Humane Society to honor Wade’s love of animals.
