AI-generated content may be incorrect.LOWVILLE – Hazel Jane Miller, 93, died late Monday evening at Lewis County Residential HealthCare Facility where she was a resident.

 

Hazel was born in Oneida on November 8, 1931 the daughter of the late Thomas J. and Rena Belle (Clark) Franklin. She attended school in Oneida. Hazel married Clark A. Miller on November 21, 1956 in Maryland. Together they owned and operated a dairy farm on the Gardner Road. When Clark died on October 22, 1979, Hazel went to work for Lewis County General Hospital in Housekeeping where she retired from.

 

She is survived by her six children, John T. (JoAnn) Miller; Alan S. Miller; Walter D. Miller; Clark A. “Butch” Miller; William R. Miller; and Sally M. (James) Golden; 13 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter; several nieces and nephews.

 

She is predeceased by her two children, Jim H. Miller and Linda L. Miller, her daughter-in-law, Nancy A. Miller, her siblings, Rena Carrie “Carolyn” Schmidtka, Violet Holt, and Kenneth Franklin.

 

Hazel was a member of the Bethel Church of the Nazarene, she loved her flowers and gardening, and feeding the birds, cats and dogs. She enjoyed traveling and puzzles.

 

Calling hours for family and friends will be on Thursday, September 18th, from 6 to 8:00 P.M. at the Sundquist Funeral Home. A graveside service will be on Friday, September 19th at 11:00 A.M. at Oran Cemetery, Oran, NY with Nate Patnode, Pastor of Bethel Church of the Nazarene, officiating.
