LEWIS COUNTY LAUNCHES NON-PROFIT BOOTCAMP TO EMPOWER
LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS
LOWVILLE, NY – The Lewis County
Planning & Community Development Department, in partnership with the
Northern New York Community Foundation, Naturally Lewis, and the NYS Tug
Hill Commission will host the first session of its new Non-Profit Bootcamp
on Thursday, October 2, 2025, from 1:00 – 3:00 PM at the JCC Education
Center, 7395 East Rd, Lowville.
Session #1,
“Getting Started & Growing Your Non-Profit,” is designed to help
individuals and organizations learn the essential steps to launch or
strengthen a nonprofit. Topics include legal requirements, creating mission
and vision statements, developing bylaws, building strong boards, and
fundraising basics.
A panel of local
leaders will share expertise and answer questions:

Joe Foy, Harmonnny
Performing Arts Community
·
Kylie Schell, Encompass Recreation
·
Kaylee Tabolt, Naturally Lewis (Moderator)
“This program
will provide practical guidance for anyone working to start or grow a
nonprofit in Lewis County,” said Lauryn Tabolt.
