AI-generated content may be incorrect.LYONS FALLS - Ricky L. Post, 58, died early Sunday morning, August 10, 2025 at his home under the care of his family and Lewis County Hospice. Ricky was born on January 29, 1967 in Lowville, NY, the son of the late Gordon L. and Lois Marie (Kirkbride) Post.

 

He attended South Lewis Central School. Ricky retired from South Lewis Central School in 2023 after 33 ½. He was united in marriage with Robin Marie Mowers on October 11, 2008 at their home with Justice of the Peace Maggie Honey officiating. The couple made their home on the Shibley Road where he loved spending time in the country.

He is survived by his wife, Robin, their children, Dustin L. (Samantha) Post; Ashley E. Gorczyca; Alison M. Gorczyca; his five grandchildren, Daniel, Ayden, Galaxy, Olivia, Owen; his siblings, Judy (Michael) Hirschey; Cindy (Lyndon) Mooney; Laurie Smith; David (Vaughn) Post; Cathy Brown; Randy (Cheryl) Post, and Craig (Tammy) Post; his aunt, Thelma-Sally Trombly; and uncle, Charles Mooney; several nieces and nephews; his fur babies, Sassy and Cutie Pie.

 

He is predeceased by his daughter, Carrie Marie Post, and his brother, Charles "Bucky" Post.

 

Ricky enjoyed hunting, riding ATV’s, working, and causing mischief with his tractor. He was a member of the Lyons Falls Fire Department for many years.

 

Per his wishes, he is to be cremated with no services. Memorials in Ricky’s name may be made to: Lewis County Humane Society, P.O. Box 682, Lowville, NY 13367 or Lyons Falls Fire Department, P.O. Box 520, Lyons Falls, NY 13368 or Friends of Lewis County Hospice, Inc., P.O. Box 266, Lowville, NY 13367.
