Copenhagen Man Charged with Possession and Promotion
of Sexual Performance by a Child
On August 13,
2025, the New York State Police arrested Tyler J. Chereshnoski, age 21, of
Copenhagen, NY, on the following charges:
- One count of Promoting a Sexual Performance
by a Child (Class D felony)
- One count of Possession of a Sexual
Performance by a Child (Class E felony)
The charges stem
from an Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force search warrant related
to the transmission of child sexual exploitation material via the internet.
This arrest was
the result of a joint investigation by members of the State Police Computer
Crime Unit – Troop D, the Troop D Bureau of Criminal Investigation –
Lowville, the ICAC Unit in Albany, and Homeland Security Investigations.
Chereshnoski was
arraigned in the Town of Denmark Court and released on his own
recognizance. He is scheduled to return to court on September 3, 2025, at
4:30 p.m.
