AI-generated content may be incorrect.LOWVILLE- Jimmy J. Waligory, 71, of Rector Road, passed away on Monday July 7, 2025 at Carthage Area Hospital after several months of declining health.

 

A funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday July 14, 2025 at Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc. with Clint Meade, longtime close friend officiating.  Private burial at the Martinsburg Cemetery.  Calling hours will be from 12:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. on Monday July 14, 2025 prior to the funeral service, at the funeral home.  Contributions may be made to West Martinsburg United Methodist Church, In C/O Marcia Waligory, 3914 Rector Road, Lowville, NY 13367.

 

Jimmy is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 50 years, Marcia; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jeremy and Danielle Waligory of Schenectady; and Josh and Jackie Waligory of Holland Patent  and their two children, Jayvin and Zadie; two sisters, Nancy Waligory, of Seattle, WA and Jean (Patrick) McGrath of Lowville; a sister-in-law, Judy Waligory of Lowville; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.  He is predeceased by a brother, John M. Waligory Jr.

 

He was born on June 24, 1954 in Lowville, NY, a son of the late John and Agnes Swiernik Waligory and worked on the family farm.  Jimmy graduated from Lowville Academy in the Class of 1972.  On September 6, 1975, he married Marcia Rudd at St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church with Rev. Rupert Hajna officiating.  Jimmy worked logging for his uncle Joe Waligory and then bought his own truck, and began trucking.   He later became a self-employed heavy equipment mechanic for many years, until his disability.

 

Jimmy enjoyed off-road jeeping with his family and friends, target shooting, moving dirt to make off road trails, and hunting.  He loved operating heavy equipment.  Most of all, he enjoyed his time with his family, especially his grandchildren, his nephew Tommy Rhubart and great-nephew William Rhubart.
