Lowville Jazz Orchestra Announces Upcoming
Performances for July 26th and August 6th

LOWVILLE JAZZ ORCHESTRA SET TO PERFORM
The Lowville Jazz
Orchestra, in the style of a big band or jazz ensemble will perform twice
this summer for the community. On Saturday, July 26 at 7:00 PM they
will perform on stage in the Lewis County Historical Society building on
State Street. Patrons will also be able to tour the exhibits before
and during the concert . There will be a
short intermission with refreshments.
The Lowville Jazz
Orchestra is a 20-piece ensemble of saxophones, trumpets, trombones, piano,
bass, and drums. You will be treated to a variety of songs from the
Big Band Era, as well as songs from the 50's, 60's and 70's. Movie themes
and Patriotic songs are part of the Lowville Jazz Orchestra's
repertoire. Rocky's Theme, "Gonna Fly
Now", Aretha Franklin's "Respect", The Beatles "Twist
and Shout", and the big band ballad "In a Sentimental Mood"
are just some titles the band performs. There is something for everyone's
taste. Several songs will feature a soloist.
The band will
also perform on Wednesday, August 6 at 7:00 PM in Lowville at Veterans
Memorial Park. The concert will bring to a close
the Historic Lowville Village Band's Concerts held on Wednesday nights.
Both concerts are free and open to the public.
