Beaver River Trap Shooting Team Wins USA High School
Clay Target League National Championship

Beaver River Central High School
took home a National Championship in the team Clay Target Shooting
competition at the USA High School Clay Target League Championship Tournament finals on
Sunday. The tournament, held over
the weekend at the Michigan Trap Shooting Association in Mason, MI,
included 240 teams and 1,800 students athletes
representing high schools from across the nation in both individual and
team competitions. Following qualifying rounds on Friday, the Beaver River
team was among the 80 teams to move on to Sunday’s championship round. The
Beaver River team, pictured in
photo from the USAHSCTL website, finished with
494 points to edge out Blackhawk High School in Pennsylvania to win the
championship.
