AI-generated content may be incorrect.CASTORLAND- Shirley Ann Waldron, 82, of Artz Road, passed away on Sunday June 15, 2025 at Carthage Center Nursing Home.

 

The funeral service will be at 5:00 p.m. on Friday June 20, 2025 at Iseneker Funeral Home, 5702 Waters Road, Lowville.  A calling hour will be from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Shirley’s name may be made to the Lewis County Humane Society, P.O. Box 682, Lowville, NY 13367.

 

She is survived by her beloved husband, Loren Sr.; three children, Lisa Reape (Gregg Myers) of Stoney Point, NC, Deborah Smithling of Lowville, and Chad Waldron of Carthage; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one brother, Doug (Sylvia) McIntyre of Evans Mills; nieces, nephews and cousins.  She was predeceased by one son and daughter-in-law, Loren Waldron Jr. and Shannon Waldron; three brothers, David, Harold, and James McIntyre; and one sister, Dorothy Woodhouse.

 

Shirley was born on September 6, 1942 in Lowville, a daughter of the late Joseph and Frances Rubar McIntyre.  She graduated from Lowville Academy Central School in 1962.  On February 21, 1963 she married Loren T. Waldron at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Lowville, a blessed union of more than 65 years.  Shirley raised her family and worked for Beaverite in Beaver Falls for a short time.  For many years, she groomed dogs out of her home.

 

She enjoyed crafts, gardening, ceramics, bowling, cooking, and baking.
