Notice of Public Hearing on the Formation of New Bremen Water District No. 1

 

    NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town Board of the Town of New Bremen will hold a public hearing on July 14, 2025, commencing at 6:30 pm, or as soon thereafter as time allows at 8420 NY-812, Lowville, NY 13367, to provide an opportunity for public comment on the formation of the New Bremen Water District No. 1.

 

The Water District will include twenty-seven (27) connections which are already connected to the infrastructure and an additional fourteen (14) connections might also be included in the District and connected to the infrastructure for a total of forty-one (41) connections across forty-nine (49) parcels. The estimated costs to a typical property annually (EDU) is anticipated to be $549.00.  All persons wishing to be heard on the issue should be present at the Public Hearing or have written comments submitted to the Town Board or Town Clerk prior to the Public Hearing.

The Town of New Bremen Water District No. 1 property description is as follows:

 

    ALL THAT TRACT OR PARCEL OF LAND SITUATE in the Town of New Bremen, County of Lewis and State of New York and being more particularly described as follows:

 

    Commencing at the Point of Beginning #1, said Point being at the intersection of the Erie Canal Road eastern right-of-way and the southern property boundary of Parcel 131.00-02-02.000; thence proceeding easterly approximately 300 feet along the southern property boundary of Parcel 131.00-02-02.000 to a point along the southern property boundary; thence proceeding northerly parallel to the Erie Canal Road right-of-way to a point on the northern property boundary of Parcel 131.00-02-02.000; thence proceeding westerly approximately 650 feet to a point along the northern property boundary of Parcel 131.00-02-02.000; thence proceeding southerly parallel to the Erie Canal Road right-of-way to a point on the southern property boundary of Parcel 131.00-02-02.000; thence proceeding easterly along the southern property boundary of Parcel 131.00-02-02.000 to the intersection of the Erie Canal Road eastern right-of-way and the southern property boundary of Parcel 131.00-02-02.000; said point also being the Point of Beginning #1; encompassing all parcels within said boundary.
