On June 19, 2025, at 9:59 p.m., State Police responded to a vehicle crash on Route 294 in the town of Boonville.

Investigation revealed that Rhonda A. Baslow, age 64, from Port Leyden, NY, was operating a 2013 Honda Ridgline east on Route 294 when she failed to keep right and struck a utility pole on the south shoulder of the roadway.  The vehicle then rolled over onto its passenger side.

When Troopers arrived on scene, R. Baslow and a passenger were still trapped inside the vehicle and two other passengers were out of the vehicle being checked out by EMS.

R. Baslow and the trapped passenger were assisted out of the vehicle by the Boonville Fire Department and evaluated by EMS.

A backseat passenger in the vehicle, was transported by Ambulance to Wynn Hospital for minor injuries.

During interview of R. Baslow, Troopers detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage.  After being evaluated by EMS and declining any injuries, R. Baslow was then administered standardized field sobriety tests which she subsequently failed.
