Early voting is underway across New York state, through June 22, leading up to the June 24 Primary Election to choose candidates in contested party races to appear on the ballot for the November 04, 2025 General Election.

In Lewis County, while there are many local positions on the ballot for the General Election in November (A list of all petitions filed with the Lewis County Board of Elections for all local positions in Lewis County up for election in the 2025 cycle can be viewed here), only three races have a Primary Election to select who will represent the Republican line in November.

In the town of Turin, two races are on the Republican party ballot. Kaitlyn K. Matthews and Daniel S. Szalach are both seeking the party line for Town Supervisor, while three candidates (Robert E. Binder, John P. Karelus, and Collin F. Stewart) are seeking the party line for two seats on the Town Council. The sample ballot can be viewed here.

In the town of Martinsburg, three candidates (Brad V. Allen, Robert F. Dening, and Frank D. Robbins) are seeking the Republican line for two seats on the Town Council. The sample ballot can be viewed here.

The Primary Election is only open to registered Republican voters in either of the towns with a contested race.
