AI-generated content may be incorrect.Richard K. Diller, 76, of Castorland, NY and formerly of Wellsville, PA passed away Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at Fox Subacute in Mechanicsburg, PA.

 

He was born November 18, 1948, in Mechanicsburg, PA the son of the late Floyd and Evelyn (Shaffer) Diller.

 

Richard was the widower of Annamae V. (Gerber) Diller.

 

He was a graduate of Northern High School, class of 1966. After graduation he worked for various businesses including F.W. Woolworth in Carlisle, American Machine & Foundry in York, and Duplex Products, Inc. in Dillsburg for 26 years. In 2002 he moved to Lowville, NY and owned and operated Happy Hollow Camp Ground until his retirement in 2011.

 

Richard attended First Presbyterian Church in Lowville and was a member of the Pinchot Area Jaycees, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, Elks BPOE  #1605, Lewis County Chamber of Commerce, and trustee for the Village of Castorland, NY

 

He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

 

Richard is survived by his wife Donna (Sauter) Diller of Castorland, NY; a daughter, Christine E. Kottcamp (Tom) of Croghan, NY; his siblings, Ralph L. Diller of Wellsville, Shirley A. Knight of York, Rosemary Firestone of Dillsburg, Karen R. Diller of Seattle, WA; and one grandson, Austin Kottcamp of Lowville; two step-children, Phyllis D. (Brian) Cook of Lowville, NY, James W. (Ros) Cook of Jacksonville, FL; and one step-grandson, Jacob W. Cook of Jacksonville, FL.

 

Services will be held Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at 11:00 am in the Cocklin Funeral Home, Inc., 30 N. Chestnut St., Dillsburg, PA. Viewings will be held Monday from 6-9 pm and Tuesday from 10-11 am at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Barrens Salem Union Cemetery, Dillsburg. A second memorial service and celebration of life will be held Saturday, May 17, 2025, starting at 2:15 pm in the Castorland Fire Dept., Rt. 410, Castorland, NY.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund, 7703 N. State St., Lowville, NY 13367 or the Charcot-Marie-Tooth Assoc., P.O. Box 105, Glenolden, PA 19036.
