AI-generated content may be incorrect.LOWVILLE- Nancy R. Knapp, 86, of Brookside Senior Living Community, passed away on Thursday evening, May 8, 2025 at her home, under the loving care of her family, her caregivers and Lewis County Hospice.

 

A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family at Fairview Cemetery, Carthage.  There will be no calling hours or funeral service.  Arrangements are with Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc., Lowville.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Lowville Baptist Church, P.O. Box 89 Lowville, NY 13367.

 

Nancy is survived by her devoted husband of nearly 68 years, Tom; a granddaughter, Erin Draper of Potsdam; two grandsons, Christopher (Erin) Soluri of Liverpool, Tyler (Ashley) Knapp of East Moriches; eight great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins.   She is predeceased by a daughter, Anna Knapp Soluri; a son, Laurence J. Knapp; a brother, Robert Latham; a sister, Marcia Latham Scott.

 

Nancy was born on April 5, 1939 in Carthage, New York, a daughter of the late Nelson and Gertrude Brown Latham.  She graduated from Carthage Central High School.  On May 11, 1957, she married Thomas E. Knapp at the First Baptist Church of Carthage.  Nancy raised her family and traveled with her husband as he was stationed throughout the United States with the Air Force.  In 1977, she and her family moved home to Carthage where she was involved with the Knapp Family Auction business.  The couple moved to Denmark in 1985 and to Brookside Senior Living Community in 2017.

 

Nancy enjoyed summers at Lake Bonaparte for many years, antiques and collecting them, socializing, and above all, spending time with her family and friends.

 

She was a member of the Lowville Baptist Church and the Argonaut Club in Carthage.
