Right Rider Access Fund – 2025 Grant Award To Black River Valley Four Wheeler
Club Inc.
The Black River
Valley Four Wheeler Club Inc., based in
Brantingham, NY, is pleased to announce that it has recently received a $5,000
grant from the Right Rider Access Fund program from Irvine, California. This
award will be used to improve off-road trail signage. The funding will go
towards installing proper name signs, destination signs, and replacing or
adding more traffic control signs.
The improved
signage will be implemented on off-road trails in the Lewis County’s
reforestation area called the Commons, and other off road
trails.
Proper signage
will ensure that riders stay on designated trails and can accurately report
emergencies to 911. Additionally, riders will be able to coordinate their
ATV maps and or GPS devices with the signage.
The
BRVFWC Inc. is very grateful to be awarded the grant, with support from our
members, and the Lewis County Recreation, Forestry & Parks Office.
This was the second
grant awarded to the Black River Valley Four Wheeler
Club Inc. in two years for a total of $11,000 in grant funding.
Our next grant
will be written to pursue funding for training, so we can become certified
OHV instructors, and then we can instruct participants when taking an Off
Highway Vehicle safety course.
