AI-generated content may be incorrect.WATERTOWN, NY/HARRISVILLE, NY- Patricia Mary Dooley, 67, of Watertown, formerly of Harrisville and Penfield, died Tuesday, April 15, 2025, after a battle with Lewy body dementia.

 

Born June 22, 1957 in Gouverneur, NY, a daughter of Arthur F. and Mary Gardner Dooley, she graduated from Harrisville Central School in 1975. Patty could often be seen riding her horse, Ahab, while growing up in Harrisville. She later attended Canton ATC and St. Joseph’s School of Nursing in Syracuse, acquiring her registered Nursing Degree.

 

For the next 25 years, she worked as an RN in various medical facilities in Rochester, NY, eventually specializing in Cardiac Sonography. As a lifelong student, Patty became a licensed massage therapist, Reikii Master, and Certified Aromatherapist promoting healing and well-being.

 

Patty traveled to Machu, Picchu, Peru, where she became a Shaman under the tutelage of world-renowned Shaman and author, Alberto Villaldo. She also toured Ireland and kissed the Blarney Stone. She visited King Arthur’s burial ground and Stonehenge in the UK, and attended the Royal Ascot in Windsor, England with Peggy, David and Moira. A nature enthusiast, Patty often hiked and snowshoed at Mendon’s Pond Park where the birds would land on her hands, head and shoulders while she fed hem. She also took many relaxing trips kayaking the Oswegatchie River and her beloved Lake Bonaparte.

 

Surviving are her brother David (Moira) Dooley, of Palm Beach, FL; her sister, Margaret “Peg” (Daniel) Drappo, of Calcium, NY; two nephews, Brendan (Alicia) Dooley, of Watertown, NY, and Bryan (Carly) Dooley, of Youngsville, NC, and a niece, Erin (Rudy) Dooley-Shepard, of Wake Forest, NC.

 

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Michael “Mickey” Dooley, who died in 2024.

 

There will be a Celebration of Life at Lake Bonaparte on a date to be determined. In accordance to her wishes, her ashes will be scattered near Sister Islands on Lake Bonaparte on a starlit night. Loved ones hope she is happily traversing the heavens seeking her next adventures.

 

The Dooley family extends a special thanks to Sharon Marshall and Marty Ledger for the support they gave Patty during her extended nursing home stay.
