AI-generated content may be incorrect.BEAVER FALLS- Nancy J. Slye, 75, of Hilltop Road, passed away on Sunday, April 6, 2025 at her home under the care of her loving husband, daughter, and Lewis County Hospice.

 

In keeping with Nancy’s wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral service.  Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery in Natural Bridge at the convenience of the family.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Nancy’s name to Friends of Lewis County Hospice, PO Box 266, Lowville, NY 13367. Arrangements are with Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc., Lowville.

 

She is survived by her beloved husband of 51 years, Steven; one daughter, Dawn Slye of Beaver Falls; one son, Steven (Sarah) Slye of Harrodsburg, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Gary Peyton Slye and Amelia Diane Slye of Kentucky; one sister, Ione O’Donnell of Connecticut; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.  She was predeceased by two brothers, Clayton and John Stufflebeam; and one brother-in-law, James O’Donnell.

 

She was born on December 29, 1949 in Cambridge, Vermont, a daughter of the late Howard and Greta Swinyer Stufflebeam.  Nancy graduated from Long Lake Central School with the class of 1967 and furthered her education at the Watertown School of Commerce.  Soon thereafter, Nancy began working at the Marine Midland Bank in Watertown and Carthage.  On September, 7, 1974, she married Steven Slye at the Black River United Methodist Church.  Nancy worked for a time at the village clerk’s office before moving to Pennsylvania and later Kentucky.  She most recently had worked in daycare at the Calvary Baptist Church in Danville, Kentucky.

 

Nancy enjoyed traveling worldwide with her husband and attending concerts.
