LOWVILLE- David R. Brown,
76, of State Route 812, Lowville, passed away on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at Lewis County Residential Healthcare Facility,
where he has resided a short time.
Calling hours are
from Noon – 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 12, 2025
at Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc., Lowville. There will be no funeral service. A
graveside service will be held at West Lowville Rural Cemetery at the
convenience of the family. In lieu
of flowers, contributions may be made to the Lewis County Humane Society,
P.O. Box 682, Lowville, NY 13367.
He is survived by
his beloved wife Rhonda; two sons and daughters in law, James and Tina
Brown of Mexico, and Dan and Tracy Brown of Watson; three grandchildren,
Chase Brown, Corrie Schell, and Jessica Brown; and a great-granddaughter,
Stella Brown; two step-sons and their wives, Jeremy and Julie Thesier of
Carthage; Sam and Sarah Thesier of Carthage; seven step-grandchildren,
Jaylee Thesier, Gracie Thesier, Gavin Thesier, Brianna Thesier, Layndon Thesier, Natalie Thesier, and Kelsea Thesier; a
sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and Donald Peck of Natural Bridge; a
brother, Harlan Brown of Port Leyden; nieces, nephews and cousins. He is predeceased by his wives, Karen
Brown and Linda Brown; and a sister-in-law, Sandra
Brown.
David was born on
February 16, 1949 in Lowville, NY, a son of the late Frederick J. and Jane E. Abbey
Brown. He graduated from Lowville
Academy in 1967. David served in the
U.S. Army Reserves. He married Karen
Dean, and later was divorced. He then married Linda Knight in June, 1980, she passed away in January,
2002. David worked for Kraft in
Lowville for 39 years, retiring in 2004.
On September 10, 2016, David married Rhonda Rumney Vary at the
Croghan American Legion with Justice Tony Aucter officiating.
He was a member
of Croghan American Legion #1663 and a life member of the NRA. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, camping,
traveling, and his family pets.
David was a Federal Firearms Dealer.
