Lowville Sees Above Average Mean Temperature for March with Average Total Precipitation Levels

Lowville, NY- Overall, Lowville saw temperatures well above normal during March with average precipitation levels, according to weather data compiled from the Northeast Regional Climate Center (dating back to 1893).

 

March finished with a mean average temperature (cumulative highs and lows) of 34.1 degrees in Lowville, a full 6.1 degrees above the normal mean average temperature for March in Lowville of 28.0 degrees. In terms of ranking, it was the 22nd warmest March on record. The warmest March on record for Lowville occurred in 1946 with a mean average temperature of 41.9 degrees, with the coldest March on record occurring in 2014 with a mean average temperature of just 18.5 degrees for the month. The highest temperature of the month last month reached 72 degrees on March 20th. The lowest temperature recorded last month was minus-4 degrees on March 3rd.
