LCHS Announces Upcoming
Retirement of CEO Gerald R. Cayer, MPH
 LOWVILLE, NY─ The Lewis County
Health System Board of Managers announces the retirement of Gerald R.
Cayer, MPH, Chief Executive Officer, effective August 3, 2026.
Under Mr. Cayer's
leadership, the Health System has achieved significant milestones,
including navigating through the COVID-19 pandemic, the reopening of
Maternity Services, and one of the most extensive capital construction
projects in the Health System's history, modernizing services for the Lewis
County community.
The Board of
Managers will begin the search for Mr. Cayer's successor and is confident
in a smooth transition and looks forward to sharing updates as the process
progresses.
