Description automatically generatedCARTHAGE- Robert E. “Punk” Burnham, 75, of Texas Road, passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at Carthage Area Hospital.

 

Calling hours will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc., 5702 Waters Road, Lowville, and will conclude with a closing prayer.  Spring burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Carthage. 

 

Robert is survived by his beloved wife, Michelle; three children, Cory Burnham of Carthage, Trisha (Rodney) Pryce of Carthage, Jesse (Somer) Burnham of Lowville; grandchildren, Katelynn Greaves of Carthage, Kara Greaves of Alabama, Cheyenne and Jacob Castro of Texas, Matthew Brady of California, Jolene Ortiz (Hall) of Lowville, Sara and Troy Babcock of Carthage, Nelsen Hall of Deferiet, Faith Burnham of Lowville; great grandchildren, Cassion Greaves of Alabama, Zyair Greaves of Alabama, Aerolynn; Carson Babcock of Carthage, Bryson Babcock of Carthage, Ezra Ortiz of Lowville, and Douglas Babcock of Carthage; a sister, Sandy Burnham Campbell; several nieces, nephews and cousins.  He is predeceased by his parents, a brother, Ronnie Burnham, and a great-grandson, Douglas Troy Babcock.

 

Robert was born on February 7, 1949 in Carthage, NY, a son of the late Robert F. and Martha Champion Burnham.  He attended school locally.  On July 7, 1973, he married Michelle Champion at Carthage United Methodist Church.  Robert worked for Braman’s and later for the Village of Carthage and then the Village of West Carthage DPW.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.
