NRCIL to Host Bus Trip to Albany February 11 for
Annual Advocacy Day with Legislators

NRCIL to Participate in New
York Association on Independent Living Advocacy Day on February 11, 2025 in Albany, NY
 On February 11, NRCIL will arrange a day
trip to Albany for volunteer advocates and staff to meet with legislators
to review the Disability Priority Agenda presented by NYAIL - New York
Association on Independent Living. This trip provides an opportunity for
people with disabilities to speak with legislators and share their stories
related to issues that impact their lives. This Agenda includes issues
related to housing, health care and Medicaid coverage, employment,
governmental operations and funding for independent living centers.
NRCIL - Northern
Regional Center for Independent Living - is a professional peer-run
advocacy organization working with people with disabilities while
partnering with communities to create sustainable accessibility and
equity.
NYAIL - New York
Association on Independent Living - leads statewide Independent Living
Center efforts to eliminate physical and attitudinal barriers to all
aspects of life and to fight for the civil rights and full independence of
all people with disabilities.
