Lewis County DMV Restores Ability to Process
Registration Transactions But Still Unable to
Process License and Permit Transactions

UPDATE
(01/24/25 at 01:55 PM): Lewis County DMV has restored all services for all
transactions at this time and thanks everyone for their
patience during the disruption in service.
Lewis County DMV Update:
As of Thursday
evening, new hardware has been installed at the Lewis County DMV in
response to network connection issues impacting services at the location since Tuesday, according to
County Clerk Jake Moser. Workstations
at the location are now able to process registration transactions, but
still unable to process any license or permit transactions due to the
camera having trouble connecting to the new IP address. NYS ITS and CBN are
aware of the situation and working on a resolution. An update will be
provided when services are restored.
