Forest Finds Thrift Store, Lyons Falls, helps Victims
of North Carolina
Forest Finds
Thrift Store, a mission of Forest Presbyterian Church, Lyons Falls,
assisted victims of North Carolina- giving them help during the Christmas
holiday. Joanne Malone, Bertha Dorrity, Karen Lawerance, Pat Houck, Lynn
Hardy, and Snook Cassullo and numerous other
volunteers worked hours putting boxes together for the disaster victims in
North Carolina. Joanne called the police department in Newland, NC to get the
name and address of a church in their area so we could ship
out 11 boxes to them. We provided Christmas for them by sending new
toys, Christmas decorations, kids new jackets, clothing, books and jewelry.
The gifts arrived 2 days before Christmas.
Forest Finds is starting its 22nd year, this project is
one of many that they have helped people of Lewis County and other areas of
the United States.
