Join Us for the 3rd Annual Exceptional Basketball
Game with Copenhagen’s 2022 State Champs!
COPENHAGEN, NY – Encompass
Recreation is thrilled to announce its continued partnership with the 2022
Section III, Class D STATE CHAMPIONS from Copenhagen Central School for the
third annual Exceptional Basketball Game! This exciting and inclusive event
will take place this Sunday, February 2, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Copenhagen
Central School.
This community
favorite offers youth ages 2–21 with diverse abilities the opportunity to
shine on the court or sidelines, building confidence and connection in a
supportive and fun environment.
EVENT
HIGHLIGHTS:
Basketball:
Exceptional players will team up with members of the Copenhagen Central
School basketball team for four quarters of thrilling basketball
action. With accommodations for youth
with higher support needs, this event ensures that everyone can participate
and feel like a star.
Cheerleading:
Local cheerleaders and coaches from pop warner, high school, and club teams
will guide exceptional cheerleaders in learning a halftime routine and
cheering on the sidelines for the rest of the game.
Team
Supports: For those who prefer roles off the court, there are
opportunities to join as scorekeepers, ball handlers,
referees, and more.
Thanks to the
generosity of Knight Vision Photography, our headline sponsor, and other
local supporters, this event is entirely FREE for participants.
