Lowville Police Investigate Personal Injury Rollover
Accident on South State Street Wednesday Evening

Lowville, NY- Emergency
responders were dispatched to a rollover motor vehicle accident on South
State Street in the village of Lowville just before 7:50 p.m. last evening.
According to
Lowville Police, 70-year-old Lisbeth Briot, from
Watertown, NY, was traveling northbound on South State Street when she
apparently fell asleep- drifting to the right and striking two parked cars.
The impact caused her Toyota vehicle to flip and roll over in the north
bound lane.
Lowville Fire and
Lewis County Search and Rescue responded to the scene and Briot was
transported to Lewis County Health System for non-life-threatening
injuries. She was issued a traffic ticket for driving across hazard
markings, returnable to the Town of Lowville Court, according to police.
A portion of
South State Street was closed for just under an hour as crews worked to clear
the scene, reopening around 8:40 p.m.
Turck's Towing
and Wolfe's Body Shop assisted Lowville Police at the scene.
The accident,
which happened in front of the linkinglewiscounty.com office, was captured
