Snowmobile Safety Course to be Held November 30 in Turin

There will be a snowmobile safety course sponsored by the Turin Ridge Riders Snowmobile club "Highest Club on Tug Hill" Saturday November 30th at the Turin Library - Village Hall 6312 East Main St. Turin, NY 13473.

 

The course hours are from 8:30am to 4:30pm. Lunch will be provided by the TRR club.

 

Class registration MUST be done on the New York Snowmobile Register-Ed page - https://www.register-ed.com/events/view/219119

 

Children from age 10 - 13 must take this course to be allowed to operate a snowmobile on lands upon which snowmobiling is allowed while accompanied by (within 500 feet of) a person who is at least 18 years of age.

 

Children from age 14 - 1 7 must take this course to be allowed to operate a snowmobile on lands upon which snowmobiling is allowed without being accompanied by a person who is at least 18 years of age.

 

A student must have reached his or her 10th birthday on or before the day the course ends in order to be eligible to receive a snowmobile safety certificate. Parents-legal guardians MUST stay the first 15 minutes so all paper work can be filled out. Students need a pen and a yellow highlighter. A student that will need help reading, comprehending a 50-question test, with fill in the blanks, true-false, multiple choice let the instructor know prior to the class.
