She was born on August 3, 1949 in Constableville, NY, a daughter of the late Stephen and Phyllis (Jones) Youngs and  graduated from South Lewis High School with the class of 1967. On February 10,1968, she married Frederick A. Dolan.  Fred and Sandy were married for more than 31 years before Fred passed away on November 7, 1999.  Sandy is survived by her three children, Lawrence (Jennie) Dolan of Huber Heights, OH; Kathy Ann Hayduk (O’Neil Fry) of Titusville, FL; and Michael Dolan (Morgan Baslow) of Turin; nine grandchildren, Tori (Chris) Beaman, Kaitlyn Hayduk (Connor Dorsino), Blake Dolan (Mikayla Estrada), Haley Dolan (Blaine Hoffman), Landon Dolan (Mandie Duvelow), Jade (Dublin) Moore, Anthony Dolan, Aubery Carr, and Avery Carr; six great-grandchildren; her longtime companion, Jimmy Shue; one sister, Kathleen VanBuskirk of Lyons Falls; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, Frederick Dolan; three brothers, Alfred, Robert, and Richard Youngs; and one sister, Janet Youngs.

Sandy later found a passion for skiing and teaching.  She enjoyed teaching her grandchildren along with the youth from the surrounding communities how to ski at Snow Ridge.  For the last 10 years, Sandy was the manager at the Wax House at Snow Ridge. Besides skiing, Sandy enjoyed the outdoors and all the activities it had to offer including golfing in the Tuesday night league at Brantingham Gold Course, swimming, and gardening. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

There will be no service or calling hours.  A private graveside service will be held at Old Glendale Cemetery at the convenience of the family.  Arrangements are in the care of Iseneker Funeral Home Inc., Lowville.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to help with funeral expenses by clicking on the donate button on Sandy’s obituary at www.isenekerfuneralhome.com, or by mail at Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc., 5702 Waters Road, Lowville, NY 13367.  Please consider helping Sandy’s family during their time of need.
