Power Restored After Widespread Outage Impacts Lewis

Lewis County, NY- National Grid
reports all customers impacted by a widespread power outage this morning in
Lewis County have power restored.
Just after 8:30
a.m. approximately 6,229 National Grid customers lost power, including customers
in the village of Lowville and the towns of Martinsburg, Glenfield, Watson,
Brantingham, Greig, Harrisburg, Denmark, New Bremen Castorland, as well as
other areas of the county (as indicated by the outage map pictured from
8:50 a.m.).
By 10 a.m. all reported
outages had been restored. Officials say the outage happened after an
animal came in contact with a wire.
