Description automatically generatedGLENFIELD- Eva M. VanZandt, 84, of Camp Road, passed away Monday, September 9, 2024 at her home, under the loving care of her family and Lewis County Hospice.

 

Eva is survived by her children, Debra Rudd of Boonville; Paul Beadore (Melinda Bower) of Palenville; Nancy Wendt of Constableville; and Rhonda Less (Scott Decker) of Hamburg; three siblings, Louise Hulbert (Bubba Ray) of Dunlap, TN; Sam (Linda) Kriwox of West Martinsburg, and Gary (Nancy) Kriwox of Dexter; 15 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 1 great-great granddaughter; many nieces and nephews.  She is predeceased two sons, Douglas A. Beadore and Peter J. Beadore Jr.; a son-in-law, Ken Rudd; Dennis Hahn; and by her 16 siblings.

 

She was born in Greig on December 5, 1939, a daughter of the late John and Eva M. Carbino Kriwox. She attended General Martin School in Glenfield and worked at various restaurants in the area for many, many years.

 

Eva enjoyed visiting casinos, playing slot machines, playing poker, playing cards and dice with family, admiring her flowers, and watching hummingbirds. Most of all, she treasured time spent with her family.

 

There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be said at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at Brantingham Cemetery. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held from 3:00 p.m. -7:00 p.m. immediately following the graveside service at the Boonville Elks Lodge, all are welcome.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Eva’s name may be made to Friends of Lewis County Hospice, P.O. Box 266, Lowville, NY 13367 or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.  Arrangements are with Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc., Lowville.
