Description automatically generatedLOWVILLE - Kim P. Fahey, 70, of Railroad Street, died on Saturday, July 13, 2024 under the care of his family and Lewis County Hospice.

 

Kim was born on September 28, 1953 in Constableville, the son of the late Bryce E. and Beatrice Beverly (Bailey) Fahey. He graduated from South Lewis Central School, the Class of 1971. Kim served in the U.S. Army, 555th MP Co., Military Police, “Triple Nickel”, Ft. Lee, Virginia. He married Leigh Elizabeth Jordan on October 2, 1976 at St. Peter's Catholic Church. He retired from Kraft Foods, Lowville, where he worked in the warehouse. 

 

He is survived by his wife, Leigh, their four sons, Luke E., Deric P., Travis P. (Marita) and Tyler J. (Karissa) Fahey; his grandchildren, Kaylee, Keira, Abigail, Eleanor, Braxton, Kaibree, Xander, Kaideric, Onyx, and Abryella(Jeremy), his great grandson, Weston; his sister, Pamela D. (Gregory) Malone; nieces and nephews.

 

Kim is predeceased by his son, Aaron Joseph Fahey and daughter-in-law, Kori L. Smith-Fahey.

 

Kim coached Pop Warner football, soccer and wrestling, was an avid NY Giants and Yankees fan, he was a craftsman in leather work and volunteered for Lewis County Office for The Aging.

 

Calling hours for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, July 17th from 1:00 until 3:00PM, at Sundquist Funeral Home. Kim requested everyone please feel comfortable and wear your favorite sports apparel.

 

A funeral service will follow at 3:00PM with Kim’s Uncle Vernon Bailey officiating. The Fahey family invites everyone to the Lowville V.FW. Post #6912, at 4:00PM, following the service.

 

Any food donations may be dropped off at the V.F.W. starting at 1:00PM.

 

A military burial will be held on Saturday, July 20th at 10:00AM at Penny Settlement Cemetery.
