Description automatically generatedLyons Falls – Jeannie B. Santamour, 77, wife of James E., longtime resident of Cherry Street, passed away on Friday, July 12, 2024, at Wynn Hospital, Utica.

 

She was born on June 21, 1947, in Elmira, a daughter of Dewey and Olivia Hoffert Barrow. She moved with her family to Lyons Falls at a young age, and received her education at South Lewis Central School. On November 15, 1967, she was united in marriage to James E. Santamour in Lyons Falls. Following their marriage, the couple moved to their current residence on Cherry Street, where they raised their family.

 

Her family was the light of her life; Jeannie’s children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her immeasurable joy. She was an avid reader and enjoyed crocheting.

 

She is survived by her husband James, Lyons Falls, son James T. (Kelly) Santamour, Port Leyden, daughter Jennifer L. (Jason) Conway, Boonville, 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two daughters: Janna Scouten on September 11, 2010, and Jody Parry on October 30, 2010.

 

In keeping with Jeannie’s wishes there will be no services or calling hours. Interment in Wildwood Cemetery, Lyons Falls, will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
