Ellen C. Bush
LOWVILLE- Ellen C. Bush, 82,
died early Saturday morning, June 29th at home under the care of her family
and Lewis County Hospice.
Ellen was born on
May 25, 1942 in Harrisville, the daughter of the
late Edward C. and Helen D. (Hathway) Jenack. She
graduated from Harrisville
Central School
in 1959 and then went on to receive her associate in applied science degree
from Canton ATC in 1961.
On November 24, 1961
she was united in marriage with Richard A. Bush in Syracuse. While living in Syracuse she worked
for General Electric. Ellen moved back to Lowville and went to work for
Climax in Castorland. She and Rick became the owners of Lyng Lumber in Lowville
and Lowville Feed and Grain.
Surviving is her
husband of 63 years, Rick, their two children and families, Cinda Bush and her
son, Lucas; and Allen R. and Wendy Bush and their sons, Jayden and Logan
all of Lowville; her sister, Dixie and Thomas Dickinson of Harrisville; her
brother, William and Suzanne Jenack of Fairport;
her sister-in-law, Karen Jenack of Lowville as
well as several nieces and nephews.
She is
predeceased by her sister, Polly and Edward “Punky” Finn and her brothers,
Paul, and Frederick Jenack and her best friend,
Suzie Bush.
The family would
like to thank the Lewis County Hospice nurses that gave our mother and
sister the most compassionate and loving care possible. We would have been
lost without you!
A memorial
service and celebration of life will be held at Lake Bonaparte on July 27th
starting at 11:00am, causal dress is encouraged.
