Naturally Lewis, Inc. Opens Applications for $100,000
Building Business Grant Opportunity
 LEWIS COUNTY, NY- Naturally Lewis,
Inc. has opened applications for the Building Business grant opportunity,
which is open to for-profit businesses in Lewis County. Applications to
this opportunity will be reviewed by the independent Community Economic
Development Program Committee.
This grant
opportunity is intended to provide businesses with the tools to grow their
business. Grant funds can be used for literal tools, including equipment
and machinery, or figurative tools, including business services or
professional services, to assist business growth. Businesses must
demonstrate how the “tools” will contribute to a thriving economy and
positively impact the local community.
Applications for
the Building Business Fund open on July 1, 2024
and close on September 26, 2024. Eligible projects must meet the following
criteria:
 Applicants
must be an existing for-profit business located in Lewis County, NY.
Applicants
must demonstrate plans to significantly expand or diversify products/services.
Applicants
must demonstrate overall benefit to the community and promote economic development through growing business.
Eligible
project costs include equipment, machinery, working capital, training, and
workforce development.
 Building
Business funds cannot be used
for construction or capital improvements. However, construction and capital
improvements may be demonstrated as part of the total project cost.
Funding
cannot be rewarded for
retroactive projects or projects that have already started.
In addition to
Building Business funds, Naturally Lewis is opening applications for the
third quarter of the Small Things, Big Impacts Fund grant opportunity. This
marketing fund, which is open to non-profit organizations and for-profit
businesses, will support Lewis County applicants in enhancing their
visibility through creative means in the community.
