By: Press Release from Town/Village of Lowville Recreation Board

LOWVILLE/CROGHAN SUMMER RECREATION PROGRAM RESUMES AT NEW LOCATION

Due to the flooding and damage caused by last week's storm at Lowville Academy, the Lowville/Croghan Summer Recreation Program will be relocated to the JCC Extension Building, located at 7395 East Road, Lowville. The program will resume its normal schedule at both the Lowville and Croghan sites on Wednesday, July 17.

Drop off and pick up of children by parents and/or others at the JCC site will be at the back of the building at the normal times.

Those children who have been walking to and from Lowville Academy will now be transported by bus to the JCC site.

Buses will leave at 9:15 am and return at 3:15 pm from the Lowville Middle School entrance of the Trinity Avenue parking lot. Summer Rec Program staff will be on site for both pickup and drop off each day.

PLEASE NOTE: Children who attend Super Stage and summer school at Lowville Academy and participate in the Summer Rec Program will be bussed from school to the JCC site. They will return back to Lowville Academy with everyone else at 3:15 pm. Details will be provided to parents/guardians regarding their transportation time before Wednesday's start.

The Recreation Board must recognize organizations and individuals who worked tirelessly over the past few days to ensure this year's program will continue given the tremendous cleanup efforts now facing our community.

Many thanks to the following:
