Description automatically generatedCONSTABLEVILLE- Marion H. Marshall, 93, of Crofoot Hill Road, passed away on Friday June 14, 2024 at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Beth and Alan Filey of Rome.

 

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday June 21, 2024 at the Constableville Fire Company, Main Street, Constableville.  All are welcome.  Any food donations may be taken directly to the Constableville Fire Hall starting at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.  Contributions may be made to the Constableville Fire Company, Main Street, Constableville, NY  13325.  Arrangements are with Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc., 5702 Waters Road, Lowville, NY.

 

She is survived by a daughter and her husband, Rosemary and Paul Jones, of Rome, NY, a daughter and her husband, Bridgett and Leroy Platt, Jr., of Turin, NY, a son Barney Lord, and a son, of Constableville, NY, a daughter and her husband, Roxy and Michael Platt, of Constableville, NY, a daughter and her husband, Beth and Alan Filey of Rome, NY, a daughter and her husband, Rebecca and Tim Sweredoski of Constableville, NY; a daughter Buffy Genter of Constableville, NY; a special niece and her husband, Eva and Marty Peters of Vernon Center, and Valerie Kelly of Boonville who both visited her often like daughters; a step-son and his wife, Volney and Betty Marshall of Georgetown, NY, a step-son and his wife, Vane “Doug” and Debbie Marshall of Cincinnatus, NY, a step-son and his wife, Verne “Dave” Marshall of Winston-Salem, NC, daughter-in-law, Valerie “Tad” Longenecker of DeRuyter, NY; many grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and some great-great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins.  She is predeceased by her husband Clement; a son, Rodney Lord; step-daughter and her husband, Velma and Eugene Pierce; a step-son, Vernon Marshall; a step-daughter-in-law, Judy Marshall; two brothers, William and Duane Lord; two sisters, Florence Ada Grimm and Glennys Kelly.

 

Mrs. Marshall was born on August 29, 1930 in Town of Nelson, NY, a daughter of the late Clarence C. and Eva Partello Lord. She graduated from Georgetown Central School in 1950.  Together with her husband, owned and operated dairy farms on the Crofoot Hill Road and Highmarket Hill Road for many years.  She enjoyed playing bingo, scratching off lotto tickets, doing word search books and spending time with her friends and family, especially her children and grandchildren. She embraced and fed many people over the years who later all called her “Mom”.

 

Marion had two very special caregivers, Sarah Platt and Teresa Dragon, who Marion thought the world of.
